SCHOOLS AND AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

We deeply believe in the power of young children for being able to spread messages of solidarity and in their capacity of becoming promoters in the ambit of development and cooperation.

This is how our collaboration with schools was created (from elementary to high school), with the belief of the importance of turning our children into the main actors of projects of solidarity.

We visit schools, present our Foundation, its scopes and objectives, its projects and activities. Often interested school or classes develop projects for the raising of funds, in favour of our Foundation.

For example, during school the 2003-04 school year, classes of this school were committed to a project, which had as theme the learning of a few painters of ‘800. By end of the year, students brought to end some beautiful work, which was then sold. The earnings were given to our foundation.

GATHERING OF MATERIAL

During the course of last year we gathered material, which mainly consisted in healthcare and school, which was then send to Kenya last summer via two containers and distributed to the most needy schools in the district of Kwale.

SMALL PURCHASING MARKETS

The selling of Kenyan handcrafted material and other articles, some of which are foodstuffs produced by us represents since the beginning of our activity an important tool for the raising of funds and an occasion to meet and exchange experiences with people who share our ideas or who develop activities similar to ours.

From this year on, you will also be able to find hand-made jewellery realized by the mothers of Ukunda!
