About us
The Child to Child for Africa Foundation, founded on 16.09.2002 in Lugano, was founded after a trip to Kenya by two friends who wanted to offer concrete help to people living in extreme poverty. The work was dedicated to the memory of the young Domizio Lepori, who tragically died in the sinking of the ferry Joola in Senegal, whose existence was characterized by a deep commitment and love for the marginalized and the most unfortunate.
The aim of the Foundation is to operate in the field of education, financing studies for young Africans, without distinction of gender or religion, encouraging professional training and investing funds for the construction or renovation of school facilities.
The transparency and regularity of our investments and activities are ensured by the company Ballerini Consulenze Sagl, which carries out an audit in accordance with Swiss GAAP ARR 21 and by the supervision of the Berne supervisory office.
In 2005, Child to Child for Africa became a member of FOSIT, a federation that brings together many non-profit, charitable associations and foundations in Switzerland that are active in development cooperation and humanitarian aid.
